The Best Way to Determine Size:
Remove the old head from the drum. Measure the outside diameter of the old head aluminum ring or flesh hoop. Keep in mind that tympani heads are measured differently from all other drum heads. Tympani heads are measured by the outside diameter of the entire drumhead, as if you were measuring it to fit in a box.
